Haute Textile Maison

Ameria Riva

Woven by Nature. Honoured by Tradition. Crafted for Eternity.

The Maison

Owned by Origin

Each Maison begins with a rare material and the discipline to honour it.

Ameria Riva is the Maison of haute textile, built on the rare fibres of the Andes and the leathers held beside them. Nothing arrives finished. The fleece is ours from the shear, spun and woven in our own ateliers, recorded at every pass from the sierra to the cloth it becomes. We do not buy the fibre. We answer for it.

The vicuña leads. The other rare fibres follow.

Alpaca of the Peruvian sierra
The Source

The Fibre Begins at Altitude.

Four animals carry the rarest fibres in the world, high in the Peruvian sierra. Vicuña and guanaco run wild and are shorn by hand, in season, then returned to the mountain. Alpaca and llama are raised within herds the Group holds at the source. None of it is bought on the open market, and the Colombian leather worked alongside the cloth is sourced and finished within the same network.

From the animal to the loom, every step is ours.

Hand and Loom

The Loom Keeps Its Own Time.

Fibre is graded by touch before a thread is spun, the finest set aside and the rest returned. Spinning and weaving follow methods the sierra has held across generations, unhurried and exact. A single length can take a season to leave the loom, created to be worn for a lifetime and to endure far beyond it.

A season at the loom. A lifetime in the wearing.

The Material

The Fibre Register

Four fibres from the Peruvian sierra, and one Colombian hide. Each owned at the source, each worked within our own ateliers, each entered by name.

  1. 01

    Vicuña

    Wild · Shorn by hand

The rarest fibre in the world. Lighter than wool and warmer than down, taken from wild herds in season, then returned to the mountain.

  2. 02

    Guanaco

Wild · Gathered in small quantity

The vicuña’s wild cousin. Soft and resilient, taken only in small quantity, and never in haste.

  3. 03

    Alpaca

    Herd · Lustrous

Lustrous and enduring, the worked fibre of the high plateau. We draw only its rarest forms: Royal Baby Alpaca, Suri Alpaca, and Black Alpaca.

  4. 04

    Llama

    Herd · Structural

The strong outer fibre, drawn for weight and structure. The frame the finer fibres are set against.

  5. 05

    Colombian Leather

    The hide beside the cloth

Sourced and finished within the Group’s origin network. The one material that is not spun, held to the same record as the fibre it stands beside.

Nothing else reaches the loom.

Boutique Architecture

The room is woven, not built.

Each Ameria Riva boutique is conceived as a length of cloth in its own right. Texture is placed with the same intent as thread, drawn soft and low. The architecture does not display the work. It holds it.

From fibre to form

We secure the rare. We honour the making. We answer for it.
