High Jewellery Maison

Qvinto

From Mine to Masterpiece

The Maison

Owned by Origin

Each Maison begins with a rare material and the discipline to honour it.

Qvinto is the Maison of high jewellery, built around the Colombian emerald and the rarest stones that stand beside it. Each is drawn from a source we hold. Each is cut at the source by Tayrona Emeralds and set within our own workshops. And each is documented from the mountain to the hand that wears it. We do not buy the stone. We answer for it.

The emerald leads. The rarest stones follow.

Origin & Ownership

Colombian Emeralds,  Owned From the Andes.

Every stone is traceable to its source.

The finest Colombian emeralds are not bought. They are held from the moment they leave the earth. Ours rise from the Gachalá and Ubalá mines of the Eastern Andes, where Tayrona Emeralds works the source upstream of the Maison. Every stone is owned, controlled, and traced from rock to hand, with its provenance recorded at each step.

The origin is not a story we tell. It is a record we keep.

The Colombian Emerald

The Measure Against Which Every Emerald Is Judged.

Emeralds are found on several continents.
Those of the Eastern Andes have set
the standard for centuries.

Colour

Chromium and vanadium give the Colombian emerald its pure, saturated green, touched with blue. Iron, which dulls emeralds found elsewhere, is almost absent.

Jardin

The inclusions within an emerald are called its jardin, its garden. Colombian stones carry a signature of their own, in minute cavities that hold liquid, gas, and a crystal of salt.

Rarity

Most emeralds form where molten rock meets older stone. The Colombian emerald grows from hot brines moving through black shale, a geology found almost nowhere else on earth. A fine stone of size is among the rarest of all gems.

Our Gachalá and Ubalá mines lie within this emerald belt.

Lapidary & Craft

We Do Not Cut the Stone. We Release What Is Inside It.

An emerald is the most demanding of stones to cut. It is brittle, veined, and unforgiving, and a single misjudged facet is a fortune lost. Our master cutters study each rough stone at length, planning the single cut that will set its light free. The same discipline governs every gemstone and precious metal the Maison draws from the Group’s origin network. Nothing leaves the workshop until it is worthy of the name.

Craftsmanship uncompromised.

The Stones

Beside the Emerald

The emerald leads the Maison. Beside it stand a growing number of stones drawn from the Group’s origin network, each held to the same standard of custody and record.

Diamond

Formed long before the emerald, and cut with precision to return the light that enters it.

Sapphire

Corundum of deep, even colour, second only to diamond in hardness.

Tanzanite

Found in one place on earth, in the hills below Kilimanjaro, and nowhere else. Blue in one light, violet in the next.

Euclase

A blue crystal from the same Colombian ground as the emerald, seldom cut and seldom seen.

Tourmaline

The most varied of gemstones, its colour shifting with the angle of the light.

Aquamarine

The emerald’s sister within the beryl family, clear as cold water.

Boutique Architecture

The setting is part of the stone.

Each Qvinto boutique is conceived as a setting in its own right. Light is placed with the same intent as a stone, drawn low and deep. The architecture does not display the work. It receives it.

From origin to eternity

We secure the rare. We honour the making. We answer for it.
